hello - recently somebody with the initials ‘SS’ recommended i start looking into sails.js.
when i read this page, it suggested that sails.js is using an obsolete version of express:
Sails uses (built upon) Express3 (deprecated) as a web server. I think this is the main drawback. Hope in future sails will comeback with Express4/5 & Hapi
and when i finally got around to installing sails, here is what i see:
npm list | grep express
│ │ │ └── email@example.com
│ ├─┬ @firstname.lastname@example.org
│ │ │ ├─┬ email@example.com
│ ├─┬ firstname.lastname@example.org
│ ├─┬ email@example.com
│ │ │ │ └── firstname.lastname@example.org
is this anything to be concerned about?
i am reminded of how node.js itself seemed to have some serious growing-pains (and still does apparently) with io.js. as i recall, node.js was using a very old version of v8 at the time.
i also started looking at trails. now i wonder which is one is better if somebody is just beginning?
